Tunganath Chopta

Perched high in the Garhwal Himalayas, Tungnath Mahadev Temple is the highest Shiva temple in the world and one of the sacred Panch Kedar shrines. According to Hindu mythology, after the Mahabharata war, the Pandavas sought Lord Shiva's forgiveness for the sins of battle.
