General Terms and Conditions for holidays in India, Nepal
All correspondence(s) in respect of Tours / Travel Service
bookings should be addressed to M/s. Vedic Himalaya.
Advance Booking Fee
days or more before departure: 25% of total cost
days before departure: 50% of total cost
than 15 days before departure: 100% of total cost
Mode of Payment:
Overseas advance payment can be made through Wire Transfer
to our bank.
Apart from above in some cases like Special Train Journeys,
hotels or resorts bookings during the peak season (X-Mas,
New Year); full payment is required to be sent in advance.
If You Cancel Your Holiday:
any member of your party may cancel their travel
arrangements at any time. Written notification or an
e-mail to that effect from the person who made the
booking must be received at our office. The cancellation
charges applicable are as per the published cancellation
Cancellation Policy: In the event of cancellation of
tour / travel services due to any avoidable /
unavoidable reason/s we must be notified of the same in
writing. Cancellation charges will be effective from the
date we receive advice in writing, and cancellation
charges would be as follows:
Cancellation charges per person
days prior to arrival: 10% of the Tour / service cost
days prior to arrival: 25% of the Tour / service cost
days prior to arrival: 50% of the Tour / service cost
hours prior to arrival OR No Show: No Refund
case the booking is for a group, the cancellation
charges may be up to the total cost of the package,
depending on the supplier penalties.
Wildlife Safaris cancellation: All the wildlife safaris
booked into any of Indian Wildlife National
Park/Sanctuaries are non refundable. Even date change
request will be considered as cancellation and no
payment will be refunded/ adjusted against it.
Written cancellation will accept on all working days,
except Saturday and Sunday, Any cancellation sent on
Saturday’s and Sunday's will be considered on next
working day (Monday).
the X-Mas and New year period from 20 Dec to 05 Jan the
payment is non-refundable.
case you cancel the trip after commencement, refund
would be restricted to a limited amount only which too
would depend on the amount that we would be able to
recover from the hoteliers/ contractors we patronize.
For unused hotel accommodation, chartered transportation
& missed meals etc. we do not bear any responsibility to
If We Change or Cancel Your Holiday:

will have to make any changes to your travel
arrangements. Occasionally, we may have to make changes
and we reserve the right to do so at any time. If there
are any changes, we will advise you of them at the
earliest possible date. We also reserve the right under
any circumstances to cancel your travel arrangements by
assigning reasons to you.

to reasons beyond our control (e.g. bad weather):

If you want to change your holiday
confirmation of services, if you wish to change your
travel arrangements in any way (e.g. your chosen
departure date or accommodation), we will do our utmost
to make these changes but it may not always be possible.
Any request for changes must be in writing from the
person who made the booking. All cost incurred due to
amendment will be borne by you.
If you have a complaint
face any problem during your holiday, please inform the
relevant supplier (e.g. your hotelier, transporter etc.)
